Ahmad Mazin Al Shugairi (Arabic: أحمد مازن الشقيري) is a Saudi Arabian thought leader, bestselling author, media personality, and cultural reform advocate, best known for his groundbreaking Ramadan TV show Khawatir (خواطر)—a social commentary program that aired from 2005 to 2015 and reshaped the landscape of Arab media. With millions of followers across digital platforms, he continues to be one of the most influential voices in the Arab world.

Born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on June 6, 1973, Ahmad pursued higher education in the United States, earning a Bachelor’s in Management Systems and an MBA from California State University, Long Beach. He returned to Saudi Arabia in 1996, where he began working in the family business before transitioning into media.

His media debut came in 2002 with programs such as Yalla Shabab and If He Were Among Us. However, it was with Khawatir that he became a household name—using practical examples, cultural reflections, and global comparisons (especially Khawatir from Japan) to highlight the strengths and challenges within Arab and Islamic societies. The program encouraged critical thinking, civic responsibility, and personal growth, resonating deeply with youth across the region.

In recent years, he launched Qomrah (قمرة), a user-generated content show that continued his legacy of uplifting voices and sparking purposeful conversations during Ramadan on MBC.
