David Bloch

From New York to London, Mumbai and Nice and from Istanbul to Cairo, Hong Kong to Corfu in Greece, David Bloch, a versatile Emcee and Voice-Over Artist has performed globally, sharing the stage with Queen’s Sir Brian May CBE, former Manchester United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson CBE, and Dubai’s Layla Kardan, a former Emirates Woman Artist of the Year (2017-2018) and winner of the Esquire Middle East Music Award.

Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, David trained at the Technikon Pretoria Dance & Musical Theatre Department, earning distinctions in acting and singing. He represented South Africa at the 1999 World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, winning top honours in acting and singing. Early career highlights include working with Emmy Award-winning Director/Choreographer Alan Johnson on the South African National Tour of West Side Story and appearing in the South African premiere of La Cage Aux Folles.

With 25 years in entertainment, David’s Emcee career includes notable engagements with Porsche and Mercedes-Benz, including hosting their prestigious Agent and Dealer of the Year Awards since 2022. He also worked with TATA Communications between 2016-2019, providing Emcee services for global events in India, the Amalfi Coast, and South Africa. In 2018, he hosted a ‘fireside chat’ with celebrated chef Hemant Oberoi in Udaipur.

David’s memorable experiences also include hosting a 2006 event with Sir Alex Ferguson CBE and David Gill CBE for Manchester United’s visit to South Africa, and in 2022, hosting a private event for The Bidvest Group in Bordeaux, where he conducted a ‘fireside chat’ with Queen's Sir Brian May CBE. He has worked with The Bidvest Group since 2005, appearing at events in Hong Kong, Greece, the Caribbean, and South Africa.

Other highlights include emceeing MediVet’s 2018 Year-End event for 1500 employees in London, providing live voice-overs for the Round Glass Music Awards in New York, and co-hosting the 2021-2022 Sounds of Celebration Concert for Education Africa with Layla Kardan and Michelle Miller.

David has also provided voice-over services and emceed events for DHL SSA in Cape Town, Istanbul, Cairo, and Istanbul again in 2024. Over the years, he’s shared the stage with John Legend, SEAL, David Blaine, Trevor Noah, to name a few significant names in the industry.
