Izabella Rekiel is a journalist, presenter, moderator and host based in Saudi Arabia, working at the intersection of sport, culture, sustainability and the Kingdom's rapidly evolving international profile. From Formula E and the Dakar Rally to the World Football Summit, she has become one of the most recognizable on-stage voices covering Saudi Arabia's sporting transformation.
Her career has taken her from international sporting events to some of the world's most challenging reporting environments. As a correspondent for a global championship, she spent eleven months living aboard a ship, reporting from locations around the world and producing stories from the heart of the competition. That experience shaped her approach to journalism, combining adaptability, curiosity and the ability to connect with people and stories in unfamiliar environments.
Today Izabella presents and reports from major international events including FIA Formula E, Dakar Rally, Extreme E and the E1 World Championship, and moderates high-level conversations at the World Football Summit Riyadh, the Saudi Sports Investment Forum and the Global Games Show. As a journalist for The Saudi Times, her work explores sports investment, governance, esports, women's participation in sport and the role of major events in the Kingdom. She also works alongside marine scientist Professor Carlos Duarte on climate change, ocean science and sustainability.
As a speaker and moderator, Izabella brings journalistic curiosity, international presenting experience and an on-the-ground understanding of Saudi Arabia. Whether interviewing a global sports figure, hosting a senior panel or facilitating conversations around sustainability and innovation, she combines the perspective of a journalist with the presence and adaptability of an experienced live presenter.
