Biography
Lameen Abdul-Malik is a strategic leader and former senior official with the IAEA, the organization awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005. With over 25 years of international experience across 40+ countries, he combines deep scientific expertise, leadership insight and entrepreneurial drive to transform national-scale innovation in nuclear science, artificial intelligence and sustainable development.
As a former senior official at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Lameen advanced Africa’s radiation safety infrastructure and designed the region’s first Five-Year Strategic Framework for harnessing nuclear technology for development. His visionary leadership also led to the establishment of Zambia’s first cancer treatment hospital, now serving over 1,500 patients annually.
A recognized authority on AI and robotics policy, Lameen has shaped global AI roadmaps with the FII Institute, authored influential white papers on green hydrogen, healthcare innovation, and education for the future, and co-authored research on the need for a global tuberculosis vaccine alongside the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Today, as a senior strategic advisor and keynote speaker, he guides governments, Fortune 500 companies, and global forums on AI transformation, impact leadership, and sustainable growth. Through his proprietary IMPACT Framework, he helps leaders and institutions design systems that create measurable social and economic value.
Driven by a mission to positively impact one billion lives, Lameen merges high-level strategy with human-centered purpose—empowering nations, organizations, and individuals to transform challenges into collective progress.
