Mélina Makissi is a journalist, producer and television presenter specialising in interviews, long-form reporting and premium editorial formats, with more than ten years of experience across Africa, Europe and the Middle East. A graduate of IEJ Paris, she began her career at Africa24 in France, where she presented television news programmes focused on African current affairs.
In 2019, she joined the founding team of Nouvelle Chaîne Ivoirienne (NCI), quickly becoming one of the channel's leading news anchors and presenting its flagship television news programme before rising to Editor-in-Chief of NCI Reportages, the channel's weekly long-form current affairs programme. Throughout her career, she has conducted interviews with Prime Ministers, government ministers, institutional leaders, business executives and other prominent figures, building deep expertise in business and economic journalism through her collaborations with Bloomfield.
Alongside her journalistic work, Mélina regularly serves as a Master of Ceremonies and moderator for international conferences focused on economics, investment, leadership and governance, including the Economic Development Assembly: Africa, organised by Global Citizen and Bridgewater Associates. She also provides media training to executives, entrepreneurs and spokespersons, helping them prepare for high-stakes interviews and public speaking engagements.
In 2025, she founded Studio MNM, a production company that develops and produces high-impact content across Africa and the Middle East. Recognised for her editorial standards, storytelling expertise and ability to conduct high-level interviews, Mélina continues to pursue her ambition of creating content that informs, inspires and brings greater visibility to stories that deserve to be told.
