Rachel Pether

Rachel is a television news anchor, professional emcee, CFA Charterholder, chartered treasurer, member of Mensa and published author. Through decades of practical experience, she has a unique mix of skills in public speaking and the financial markets.

A trained journalist with over 6 years’ experience at the BBC, Rachel currently hosts two television shows produced by FintechTV – Digital Asset Report and TheIMPACT, focused on sustainability. She specializes in large-scale live events, international conferences, award galas and global launches, acting as MC for numerous international high-profile events such as SALT, Abu Dhabi Finance Week, AIM Summit, the SWFI Summit Series and the Middle East Investors’ Summit.

Based in the Middle East since 2008, Rachel spent almost a decade at Mubadala Investment Company - one of the Middle East’s largest sovereign wealth funds - in their Capital Markets & Treasury team. A CFA Charterholder and chartered treasurer, in 2014 the Association of Corporate Treasurers named Rachel “The One to Watch” in Treasury.

Passionate about helping others become more confident public speakers, Rachel is the Co-Founder of “The Speakeasy Club”, an online training course for Public Speaking that empowers individuals to hone leadership-level speaking skills and build personal confidence. She is also a Founding member of Playbook – a leadership platform for women professionals to design their career and well-being.

In 2009 Rachel published her first book - Jandal Prints on the Globe – and helped to establish a charity called Espoir so that sale proceeds could go towards supporting youth entrepreneurship in New Zealand.

Rachel is a member of Mensa and sits on the advisory board of various digital asset and data companies, including cryptocurrency exchange MidChains, layer 1 blockchain HAQQ, and the Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute.
