Tasneem Bakri is a an experienced ESG and sustainability strategist with over six years of experience leading high-impact teams and advising senior leaders across the MENA region. She brings together deep technical knowledge with strategic execution expertise, helping organizations align environmental goals with business performance.
Tasneem holds both B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Architectural Engineering. She is a LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C), a WELL Accredited Professional and Faculty member, with credentials of Strategy Execution from Harvard University. Her work spans ESG reporting, green building rating systems, net zero strategy, climate policy, and GHG accounting — supporting over 100 entities in
both the private and public sectors.
Throughout her career, she has contributed to the development and rollout of national sustainability frameworks and building guidelines. Her role included collaborating directly with government entities and policy-makers to shape pragmatic, forward-thinking environmental
strategies tailored to local and regional contexts.
As the former Head of a Climate Change & Policy department at a leading consultancy, Tasneem built and led one of the region’s most effective ESG consulting teams. Her leadership style is anchored in team cohesion, strategic alignment, and capacity building, ensuring that implementation is as strong as vision.
She is also a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion and has created programs to mentor, support, and elevate women in male-dominated industries such as engineering, construction, and sustainability consulting. Her work continues to open doors for women to take on leadership roles with confidence and impact.
