Biography
Weam Al-Dakheel is the first woman to anchor the main evening news bulletin on Saudi Arabia’s main national TV station.
She graduated with a BA in journalism from the Lebanese American University in 2011. At the same university, she attended a course at the Institute for Women’s Studies in the Arab World, receiving a diploma in Gender in Development and Humanitarian Assistance in 2017.
In 2012 she worked as a TV Reporter in CNBC Arabia and was the first Saudi female reporter in the channel. In 2014, she became a News Anchor for Al Arab News Channel in Bahrain.
In January 2018, she was appointed operations manager for the Saudi TV and News Anchor in the same channel.
