Yasin Kasirga is a decarbonization leader and keynote speaker with more than 20 years of experience bringing real energy infrastructure to life across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He has a proven track record of developing and building over 5 GW of gas-fired power plants and 6 GW of renewable energy assets, including hydro, solar, geothermal, and more than 25 wind power plants. His career is defined by a mastery of the big picture, commanding diverse leadership roles encompassing Sales, Market Development, and the execution of complex hybrid and renewable energy projects.
As a Senior Advisor to the COP28 Presidency, Yasin contributed to the landmark global pledge to triple renewable energy capacity by 2030, bringing policy fluency and on-the-ground delivery to every stage. Today, he leads the carbon solutions business across the region, helping industry and power producers chart credible paths to net zero. His portfolio of more than 11 GW built exceeds the existing installed power capacity of more than 65 countries.
What sets Yasin apart is translation. He takes the most complex parts of the energy transition - the technology, the economics, the hard trade-offs - and makes them clear, human, and actionable for any audience, not just the engineers in the room. In a boardroom, at an industry summit, or in front of a hall of students, he replaces jargon and doom with clarity and momentum. He has spoken at COP28, COP29, the World Future Energy Summit, ADIPEC, Middle East Energy, and the Misk Global Forum.
Yasin holds an Executive MBA and Bachelor's degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from Middle East Technical University and is currently pursuing his Ph.D at UCAM University on sustainability and stakeholder impact on the path to net zero. A graduate of GE Accelerated Leadership Program (XLP) and FEEL — A Disruptive Leadership Program (Dubai Future Foundation), he remains a committed catalyst for high-performance organizational culture and talent development. His keynotes range from leadership-driven energy transition to a practitioner's honest view of the Middle East's real role in the energy future.
